Melissa Smith

Melissa Smith is a senior vice president and supports the National Capital and North Florida Regions as a senior credit officer primarily focused on C&I. 
 
Before joining the firm in April 2022, Smith was a senior vice president servicing in various commercial credit leadership roles in middle market and commercial banking with Truist, where she worked for 23 years focusing primarily on C&I loans across the Southeast and Mid-Atlanta markets.
 
Smith earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Georgia with a major in international business and a minor in Spanish. She also earned an MBA degree from Mercer University in Atlanta. 
 
Smith is the treasurer and volunteer for an Atlanta based Girl Scouts troop. She is Six Sigma trained (green belt).
