Bill Cox

Bill Cox is a senior credit officer who serves middle market clients in Pinnacle's Charleston, SC, Triad and Raleigh, NC and Virginia markets. He joined Pinnacle when the firm acquired BNC Bancorp in 2017.

Cox began his financial services career in 1982 as an agriculture lender with the Farm Credit Bank of Baltimore, MD. Other roles since then include commercial banker and trust officer at First Union Bank and wealth/middle market, special assets banker and senior credit officer for RBC Bank USA. Cox joined BNC as a senior credit officer to help build out its C&I middle market credit platform.

He earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Randolph Macon College in Ashland, VA, and Level I graduate certification from Cannon Trust School. He graduated from the Harvard Business School Alumni Management Development Program through Queens University in Charlotte, NC.

Cox is a former board member for the Cannon School in Concord, NC, including roles as governance committee chair and finance committee member.
