Frank Conley

Frank Conley is a financial advisor and heads Pinnacle Financial Partners’ Solar Capital Advisory line of business. Solar Capital Advisory provides long-term tax-equity financing in the form of sale-leasebacks and partnership investments to developers of commercial and utility-scale solar power projects. He is based at the Pinnacle’s Ballantyne office in Charlotte. 

Before joining the firm in 2020, Conley was a senior vice president for Regions Equipment Finance Company (Regions Bank) in Charlotte where he managed the bank’s Solar Tax Equity Group handling the origination and execution of sale-leasebacks to finance solar projects.

Conley began his career in 1993 at CITICORP Securities, Inc.’s New York office in its corporate finance division and capital structuring department. Other roles included serving as Merrill Lynch & Co.’s director of Debt Capital Markets, Private Placement Group, where he executed structured private placements in connection with project and lease financings, and Deutsche Bank AG New York, where he was director of the company’s Global Markets, Private Placement Group with responsibility for originating, underwriting and executing highly structured note offerings, with a focus on transactions for energy and power clients.

Conley earned his bachelor’s degree in international business administration from the University of Vermont and his MBA from Columbia Business School.
