Sherri DeCosta Alley, JD, CTFA

Sherri Alley is a trust and wealth advisor for Pinnacle’s Knoxville-area market.

Sherri assists clients with estate planning and trusts to protect and grow their assets to meet their financial goals.  She also handles the estate administrations for the Knoxville market when Pinnacle is named as an Executor in a client’s Will. 

She came to Pinnacle from East Tennessee Foundation where she served in both a general counsel and a donor development role, working with families and their advisors to establish charitable endowments.  Prior to that, Sherri practiced law with Kizer & Black, Attorneys, PLLC, where she focused on estate planning, probate/administration and charitable organizations.  She holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tennessee (magna cum laude) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (financial management concentration) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (magna cum laude).  Sherri chairs the Estates Committee for Pinnacle’s Trust Team.  In 2023, she successfully obtained certification as a Certified Trust & Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) and was also elected as a Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation.

She is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Foundation, Knoxville Bar Association (KBA), and the Knoxville Estate Planning Council.  She formerly served on the KBA’s Board of Governors and currently serves on KBA’S Diversity in the Profession Committee.
