Joelle Rogin, former senior managing director and a founding officer of Metropolitan Bank, has joined Pinnacle Financial Partners as a financial advisor. Joining Rogin is former associate managing director at Metropolitan, Jeffrey Whitley, who will serve as a credit advisor for Pinnacle. Both will work from the firm’s Memphis main office at Shady Grove.

“There aren’t a lot of people with a better pedigree in Memphis banking than Joelle,” said Kirk Bailey, Pinnacle’s Memphis chairman. “She was a driving force behind the success at Metropolitan, and now she will help us build on the tremendous momentum Pinnacle has in the Mid-South. Having Joelle and Jeffrey together on our team gives us an important leg up in delivering distinctive service to our clients.”

Rogin served at Metropolitan Bank from its inception in 2007 until it was acquired by Renasant in 2017. She was a commercial banker, working with businesses with annual sales of more than $15 million. At the time the bank began, Rogin helped lead its strategic direction and the development teams for the bank’s treasury services, online banking and insurance platform. Prior to Metropolitan, she worked in corporate banking for Regions and Wachovia Bank.

Rogin earned her bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and her MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management. She is a member of the Memphis Rotary Club, a graduate of the New Memphis Institute and serves on the Parents Association Board of St. Mary’s School. She is a former board member of the Urban Art Commission, Rise Foundation and Exchange Club.

“Pinnacle has quickly become one of the premier commercial banks in Memphis, so it’s a great fit,” said Rogin. “I am dedicated to giving my clients everything they need to be successful, and a firm like Pinnacle is perfectly positioned to support my work for them. It’s wonderful to know I can do what I love most by keeping my focus on client service.”

Whitley served at Metropolitan Bank starting in 2014 and made the move to Renasant after its acquisition. Prior to that he was a partner at Fouts & Morgan, CPAs.

Whitley earned his bachelor’s degree and MBA from Delta State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of both the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
