Pinnacle Financial Partners Climbs the Charts as One of the Best Companies to Work For in the United States

Firm moves up 12 spots in updated ranking from Great Place to Work and FORTUNE magazine

Pinnacle Financial Partners climbed 12 spots to No. 22 on Great Place to Work and FORTUNE magazine’s 2018 list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For. This marks back-to-back national honors for Pinnacle, which was No. 34 in 2017. It’s the 13th national workplace award in the company’s history and by far its highest rank to date.

The 100 Best Companies to Work For list is based on survey results from more than 310,000 employees at workplaces across the country that rate company culture on more than 50 elements. Even in a year of growth, change and merger integration, Pinnacle associates gave their company high marks in trust, fairness, compensation, camaraderie and workplace traits linked to innovation.

“Typically, bank mergers can be tumultuous with higher turnover, decreased associate satisfaction and an increased workload,” said Terry Turner, Pinnacle’s president and CEO. “But our team is so engaged, so invested in the work and so committed to helping each other succeed that I believe we ranked higher because of the challenges we faced this year – not in spite of them. Not only did we wrap up our award-winning merger with BNC Bancorp in 2017, but we did it with the same success and pride in our work that has marked our company since the very beginning.”

Research from Great Place to Work shows that list winners outperform the stock market and beat industry rivals when it comes to talent retention and demonstrating higher levels of productivity than peers.
