Pinnacle Expands in Charlotte with New Ballantyne Office
New building houses full-service office, lenders and mortgage operations
Today Pinnacle Financial Partners opened a new office at 15025 Ballancroft Parkway to serve South Charlotte. It includes a full-service bank office and houses a team of commercial financial advisors and the firm’s mortgage operations for the market. This is the second new office Pinnacle has opened in North Carolina in the last seven days.
“This office is exactly what we need to meet the growth we expect to see in the Charlotte area,” said Rob Ellenburg, Pinnacle’s regional president for Charlotte. “We want to fill a few gaps in our coverage, and Ballantyne helps us do that. Our team has been working on this expansion since before BNC Bancorp’s merger with Pinnacle, and it’s finally ready to deliver the service our clients have come to expect with the team they know and trust.”
The newly constructed three-story building covers 25,000 square feet in a neighborhood filled with new development. The first-floor office is designed in a modern style with glass and metal features and a rotunda. The exterior is finished with a brick veneer and a colonnade facing the intersection of Johnston Road and Providence Road West. The building includes 2,000 square feet of unoccupied space for future growth and expansion.
“With all the new retail and office space going in around us, this is an exciting time for Ballantyne,” Ellenburg said. “We are perfectly positioned to be a part of that growth and take advantage of the opportunities it brings. Being right in the back yard of so many new developments gives us the chance to bring true community bank service to Ballantyne’s booming business scene.”
The building also includes a drive-thru with two lanes and an ATM. This is Pinnacle’s fourth office in Charlotte and its 12th in southern North Carolina from Asheville to Albemarle.
Pinnacle Financial Partners provides a full range of banking, investment, trust, mortgage and insurance products and services designed for businesses and their owners and individuals interested in a comprehensive relationship with their financial institution. The firm earned a place on FORTUNE’s 2017 and 2018 lists of the 100 Best Companies to Work For in the U.S., and American Banker recognized Pinnacle as the sixth-best bank to work for in 2017.
Pinnacle entered the North Carolina market in 2017 when it acquired BNC Bancorp, known locally as Bank of North Carolina. Pinnacle continues BNC’s practice of offering community bank service with the resources and sophistication of a larger firm.
The firm began operations in a single location in downtown Nashville, TN in October 2000 and has since grown to approximately $22.2 billion in assets as of Dec. 31, 2017. As the second-largest bank holding company headquartered in Tennessee, Pinnacle operates in 11 primarily urban markets in Tennessee, the Carolinas and Virginia.
