Mark Carlton

Mark Carlton is a regional president for Pinnacle Financial Partners’ Eastern North Carolina region.

Before Pinnacle’s acquisition of BNC Bancorp in 2017, Carlton served in a similar role with Bank of North Carolina, leading the company’s entry into the Triangle market in 2010. With over 30 years of financial services experience, he has served in various leadership roles in commercial and retail banking.

Carlton earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from North Carolina State University. He is also a graduate of the North Carolina School of Banking.

Carlton is active in the community and serves on the board of directors and executive committee for the Research Triangle Regional Partnership, as well as the SPCA of Wake County. He has also served on the boards of the American Red Cross, the Wake County Board of Adjustment and Hospice of Wake County.
