Pinnacle Remains the Best Place to Work in South Carolina

April 09, 2025

Pinnacle Financial Partners has again been named the No. 1 Top Workplace in South Carolina, this time in the large company category by South Carolina Top Workplaces. The announcement was featured in Greenville Business Magazine, Charleston Business Magazine and Columbia Business Monthly.

This marks Pinnacle’s seventh time on the list and fifth consecutive year at No. 1, with the firm continuing to earn high marks as it grows. This year’s recognition is especially meaningful as Pinnacle moved into the large company category for the first time and still held the top spot.

In addition to the overall ranking, Pinnacle also received the prestigious “Clued-In Senior Management” award for large companies, a special designation that reflects exceptional associate confidence in leadership’s communication, visibility and decision-making.

While Pinnacle’s footprint in South Carolina has grown, the firm’s core strategy has remained the same: authentic care for associates, empowerment to lead locally and a deep commitment to clients and communities.

Associates shared their experiences through the firm’s annual anonymous survey, reinforcing what sets the firm apart:

“I am thankful every day for the opportunity to work with a firm that lets me utilize my strengths and uniqueness to help serve others.”

“I appreciate the care that leadership provides to all associates and the transparency of the firm’s goals and direction.”

“I have been doing this job for more than 30 years and I can honestly say this is the best place I have ever worked. I really enjoy the people I work with across departments. I am proud to work for Pinnacle and I believe in the vision of the firm.”

“Awards like these confirm what we work toward every day, which is a workplace where associates feel respected, trusted and heard,” said Mary Garcia, Pinnacle’s regional president for the South Carolina Coast. “Growing into the large company category and still being named No. 1 speaks volumes about our people and how we operate. Earning additional recognition for the trust our people have in leadership shows that our associates believe in the direction we’re headed.”

Will Hodge, regional president in the Upstate, added: “This isn’t just about numbers. It’s about the culture we protect, the teams we build and the shared purpose that drives everything we do. I’m proud to be part of a firm where leadership listens and leads with heart.”

The Top Workplaces list is compiled by Energage, a research firm specializing in employee engagement. Rankings are based entirely on anonymous associate feedback and measure key cultural pillars like alignment, connection and execution. The “Clued-In Senior Management” award is reserved for companies where associates feel leadership is accessible, transparent and deeply attuned to the day-to-day realities of the business.
