Pinnacle Financial Partners Opens New Office in Raleigh

The firm’s eighth Triangle office was under development by BNC prior to merger

July 25, 2017

Pinnacle Financial Partners is on a growth path in North Carolina with the opening of a new office at 3515 Glenwood Avenue in the Northwest Raleigh community. The office will serve as the central headquarters for the Raleigh market with a full-service bank office, as well as commercial services, administrative offices and financial advisors for wealth, mortgage, treasury management and Small Business Administration lending.

“The Triangle is one of the most exciting markets for finance in the Southeast, which is why we feel fortunate to be opening our eighth office here,” said Rick Callicutt, Pinnacle’s chairman for the Carolinas and Virginia. “We continue to grow and have been hiring new advisors to keep up with demand. We have big plans for our future in Raleigh.”

The building is LEED-certified and was developed by BNC Bancorp prior to its merger with Pinnacle. The combined firm now owns the building and occupies around 16,000 square feet of space on the first floor, with additional room left for future growth. The second floor is leased to Raymond James Financial Services, and the third floor is available for lease.

“This is the perfect place for us to be, nestled into vibrant neighborhoods where so many of our clients already live,” said Mark Carlton, Pinnacle’s market leader for the Triangle. “We also have thriving business districts here in Northwest Raleigh with plenty of future commercial development in the pipeline. I know we will make a positive impact on the community.”

In addition to a team of advisors and administrators, the office also features a drive-thru and 24-hour ATM. The office will continue to operate under the BNC name until the firm converts the brand late in the third quarter, at which point it will be renamed Pinnacle Financial Partners.

Pinnacle Financial Partners provides a full range of banking, investment, trust, mortgage and insurance products and services designed for businesses and their owners and individuals interested in a comprehensive relationship with their financial institution. The firm earned a place on Fortune’s 2017 list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For in the U.S., and American Banker recognized Pinnacle as the sixth-best bank to work for in 2016.

Pinnacle entered the North Carolina market in 2017 when it acquired BNC Bancorp, known locally as Bank of North Carolina. Pinnacle continues BNC’s practice of offering community bank service with the resources and sophistication of a larger firm.

The firm began operations in a single location in downtown Nashville, TN in October 2000 and has since grown to approximately $20.9 billion in assets as of June 30, 2017. As the second-largest bank holding company headquartered in Tennessee, Pinnacle operates in 11 primarily urban markets in Tennessee, the Carolinas and Virginia.
