Dan Harbison to lead Pinnacle’s continued growth in Bowling Green as regional president
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. July 27, 2026 – Pinnacle Financial Partners has named longtime Kentucky banker and former bank CEO Dan Harbison regional president in Bowling Green, adding one of South Central Kentucky’s most respected banking leaders as the firm continues to grow its presence across the region.
Harbison brings more than 44 years of banking experience to Pinnacle, including more than three decades leading community banking organizations throughout the Bowling Green community. As regional president, he will lead Pinnacle’s efforts in the market while continuing to build relationships with businesses, business owners and families across South Central Kentucky.
Harbison began his banking career with Bowling Green Bank & Trust before joining American National Bank, where he served as head of retail lending and branch administrator. In 1991, he joined Farmers National Bank in Scottsville as chief credit officer before being promoted to president and CEO, a role he held for nearly three decades. Following the bank’s merger with FirstBank in 2020, he continued serving as market president.
“Dan has spent his career building relationships that have strengthened businesses, supported families and helped communities grow,” said Ed White, senior lending officer. “He is widely respected across South Central Kentucky, and his leadership, experience, and commitment to putting clients first make him an outstanding fit for Pinnacle. We’re continuing to invest in Kentucky, and Dan is exactly the kind of leader who reflects our culture and our approach to serving clients.”
A graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU, Harbison has remained deeply engaged in the Bowling Green community throughout his career. His leadership has included service with the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce, the Kentucky Bankers Association, the Warren County Economic Development Authority, the YMCA and Rotary.
“Pinnacle has built a reputation for empowering experienced bankers to make local decisions and focus on relationships,” Harbison said. “That’s the kind of environment I’ve always believed in, and I’m looking forward to leading our efforts in Bowling Green while helping more clients achieve what’s most important to them.”
