Ted Highsmith Joins Pinnacle's Wealth Management Team in Charlotte
Pinnacle Financial Partners has recruited an experienced professional to serve clients’ wealth management needs. Ted Highsmith has joined Pinnacle Asset Management, the firm’s unit for investment management and securities trading and execution. He is based at Pinnacle’s new office at The Refinery, 1213 W Morehead Street.
“Ted has a long history in Charlotte of meeting clients' needs for financial planning and investments,” said Brad Sears, Pinnacle’s managing director for the Carolinas and Virginia. “He's brought his talents to our team so we can continue to offer clients the deep financial relationships they want. He's joining a team of experienced financial consultants who offer a full suite of wealth management services from our Refinery office.”
Highsmith brings 20 years of industry experience to his role of senior vice president for Pinnacle Financial Partners and financial advisor with Raymond James Financial Services. Previously he was with Carolinas Investment Consulting LLC in Charlotte, where he led and managed a client advisory team serving client relationships on all aspects of comprehensive wealth and planning needs. Other roles included serving as a financial advisor for Bank of America in Charlotte and Banc of America Investments in Washington, D.C. He began his career in 2000 as an investment broker for First Union National Bank in Charlotte.
Highsmith earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from North Carolina State University in Raleigh. He is a Certified Financial Planner, holds Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses and is licensed in life and health insurance.
Highsmith has served on the Opportunity International Board of Governors and is a past Charlotte Chamber Ambassador and United Way Account Executive. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association.
